About this job

UNISON, the UK’s largest trade union, needs a new International Officer to formulate and develop policy and campaigns in specialist areas of international work; provide support, guidance, information and advice to appropriate lay member structures, other departments, service groups, self-organised groups, regions and branches; and represent the union to outside organisations, including governmental and political agencies in the UK and abroad.

A sound knowledge of the international trade union movement, foreign and development policy and a good understanding of UNISON’s aims, objectives and international campaigns and work are vitally important. The post holder will work under the guidance and support of the Head of International Relations.
