About Us
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading hospice where communication, collaboration and engagement are central to everything we do.
Our teams work across a wide range of services—from clinical care and research to fundraising and community engagement—and strong internal communications are essential to ensuring colleagues feel informed, connected and inspired.
Your New Role
As Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of our internal communications and staff engagement strategy.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of internal communication channels, while also shaping a new, forward-thinking approach to how we engage colleagues across the organisation.
Working closely with the Executive Team, Human Resources and senior leaders, you will ensure our vision, mission and values are embedded in everything we communicate. You will support organisational priorities, including the delivery of our 2026–2029 strategy, helping colleagues understand, engage with and contribute to change.
You will act as a trusted advisor—supporting, coaching and challenging leaders to communicate effectively, while creating clear, accessible and engaging content for a diverse workforce.
About You
We are looking for an experienced internal communications professional who thrives in a complex and fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- Significant experience in internal communications or employee engagement
- A proven track record of developing and delivering communication strategies
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
- Experience working with senior leaders and advising on communications
- The ability to translate complex or sensitive information into clear, engaging content
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
You will also be a confident relationship builder—someone who can influence, challenge and support colleagues at all levels while fostering a culture of openness, trust and engagement.
What You Will Get in Return
You will play a key role in shaping how our organisation communicates and connects, making a meaningful impact on staff experience and engagement.
We offer:
- A collaborative and supportive working environment
- Opportunities for professional development
- Health and wellbeing initiatives
- A competitive benefits package
