Job Role
The Shariah Auditor is responsible for conducting independent halal audits and technical reviews of slaughterhouses, meat processors, food manufacturers, logistics providers, and other certified organisations to verify compliance with the HMC Halal Standard, requirements, applicable Islamic rulings, and certification scheme requirements.
The role supports the integrity of the certification process by assessing halal compliance, identifying non-conformities, evaluating corrective actions and providing recommendations to the HMC’s Decisions Committee. The Shariah Auditor shall maintain impartiality and independence and shall not participate in certification decisions for clients they have audited.
