Job Summary
This role is part of the capacity of regional charity North East Wellbeing’s (NEW) Impact Hub to deliver research and evaluation projects for NEW’s programmes and external commissions, and to boost our quality, workstreams, and outreach.
The Impact Associate will have responsibility for working with the Impact Lead and team members to deliver projects, collect and analyse data, set project goals, and communicate progress and outcomes.
Impact Hub projects vary in scope, delivery requirements, and timelines/contract lengths. Projects involve engaging with a range of stakeholders, including cross-sector organisations (e.g., VCSE’s, schools and health), local communities including children, young people and families, and commissioners and funders.
Impact Associate: Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Impact Associate will work with core members of NEW including the Impact Lead, CEO and Project Managers to deliver a range of Impact Hub projects. Work involves a mix of home-based working and travel across NEW’s project localities including Newcastle, Durham, and South Tees, therefore access to a vehicle is essential.
Main duties will include:
- Supporting the development of methodologies, approaches, and frameworks for project delivery and evaluation
- Collection and analysis of quantitative and/or qualitative data
- Provision of upskilling in research and evaluation methods
- Delivering workshops, focus groups, and questionnaires
- Utilising academic frameworks, literature and theory
- Managing and maintaining ethical standards
- Collecting analysing and presenting quantitative and qualitative data as required
- Translating complex evaluation and learning frameworks, methodologies and language into the development of user-friendly, meaningful tools that support different types of organisations and stakeholders to engage with research and evaluation
- Writing impact and project reports
