The Debt Advice Centre model entails local advisers providing a full, in-house, regulated debt advice service. The Connect model involves local Money Mentorsto manage information gathering and face to face client support; the debt advice workis referred to CMA’s regulated Debt Advice Hub.The role of a Hub Debt Adviser is to provide the regulated debt advice based on thereferrals from our Connect Centres. In addition, the CMA Hub takes client referralsfrom external agencies. With these cases the Hub Debt Adviser will be required toundertake direct client contact, supported by a casework administrator. CMA Hub also provides remote induction and coaching for new Debt Advisers for someof CMA’s Debt Advice Centres and supports Connect Centres making the transition toDebt Advice Centres. The role will be working within a team of CMA Hub Debt Advisers who work remotely,the team have weekly meetings and is supported by the Hub Manager. CMA usesbespoke case management software called Catalyst, which has an interface with ourConnect Centres. Hub Debt Advisers will have access to CMA’s Adviceline (for advisers)for ‘second line’ casework advice, as required.Safeguarding:All adults working in or on behalf of CMA have a responsibility to safeguard andpromote the welfare of children and adults. This includes:A responsibility to ensure a safe environment in which CMA services can bedelivered.Identifying children and adults where there may be safeguarding concerns.Following the CMA Safeguarding policy in addressing any concerns appropriately.Context07You will provide informed, unconditional advice for clients, fully compliant with FinancialConduct Authority (FCA) ‘CONC’ regulation and best practice.Key Tasks:You will take client case referrals from our Connect Centres where you will bedelivering advice, and liaise with the Money Mentor who will be working directlywith the client.You will build up to an overall caseload of 30-35 Connect Centre clients, with 2-3new clients per week.
