Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 35 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

Are you a highly organised administrative professional who loves technology and helping people? If so we are looking for an HR Coordinator (Recruitment Lead) to join our friendly HR team.

In this role, you will own the day-to-day recruitment and onboarding lifecycle across the school. You will be the primary point of contact for candidates, guide them through their recruitment journey, and ensure all hiring processes run smoothly and in accordance with Safer Recruitment and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) statutory guidance.

A key focus of this role is helping us establish and champion our new online recruitment and onboarding portal. You will work closely with hiring managers to help them adapt to the new system, troubleshoot early queries, and look for ways to continuously refine the digital candidate experience and HR processes.

You don’t need to have years of experience in an educational setting, but you do need an eagle eye for detail, a strong comfort level with technology, and a warm, professional approach to customer service.

This is a brilliant opportunity to combine your affinity for administrative precision with a hands-on role in improving how we recruit and welcome new colleagues.

Knowledge of Safer Recruitment practices, KCSIE statutory guidance, or a CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential – we are happy to support the right person’s development.

For further information about working at Brentwood School, please see the links on this page or email: recruitment@brentwood.essex.sch.uk Applications can be submitted through the TES website, alternatively, applicants who do not have a TES account should use the relevant Interactive Recruitment Form on this page. The School reserves the right to change these dates, and to close the vacancy at any time.

Candidates are encouraged to email their completed form to the Recruitment mailbox, along with a current CV and a personal statement.

Brentwood School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
