Tormead School is an academically selective independent school for 800 girls aged 4–18 in Guildford, just 40 minutes from London.
We are seeking a HR Advisor to support the delivery of a comprehensive HR service across the Tormead family of schools, helping managers deliver excellent people management practices. Working as part of a small team, you will support the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on payroll, contracts, HR systems and reporting. You will be a trusted point of contact for staff and managers, providing prompt, pragmatic support and advice and ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently.
Applicants should have CIPD Level 3, or equivalent relevant experience, together with experience of providing HR advice. A good working knowledge of employment law and HR good practice is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels are also important. Experience of payroll reconciliation, or working within a school environment would be advantageous, as would CIPD Level 5 or equivalent relevant experience.
This is a part-time role, for 3 days per week (the hours and days are flexible for the right candidate).
