About the role
About the role
We’re looking for a Housing Triage Worker to join our Legal Services team and help people get the right support when they need it most. This is a fast-paced, rewarding opportunity for someone who brings empathy, confidence and great organisation to every client interaction.
What you'll do
· Manage initial appointments and triage referrals
· Assess legal aid eligibility and complete paperwork
· Maintain accurate case records
· Support clients with housing and related issues
· Deliver outreach across the region
What we're looking for
· Strong customer-facing experience and excellent communication skills
· The ability to explain complex information in a simple, supportive way
· Great organisation and time management
· A sharp eye for detail and quality
· The confidence to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
· Housing advice experience is a plus
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Office-based with travel across Gateshead, Sunderland, South Tyneside, Durham and Newcastle
Start Date: 27th July 2026
