£18,547- £19,523 per year

 

18.75 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Housing team based in Toryglen. You will be working in a team of 10, Housing Manager, Housing Officers, Assistant Housing Officers and a Welfare Rights Officer. You will work on a variety of tasks, primarily allocations and estate issues and enable the delivery of a high-quality housing management service. You will receive full training, on-going support and opportunities to develop. Whilst this is a very diverse and challenging role, it is equally rewarding. If you are highly motivated, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing excellent customer service, this could be the role for you.

The role of Housing Officer will include:

  • Deliver a high quality housing management service that meets the needs and expectations of current/future residents and the wider community in line with Sanctuary in Scotland’s business plan
  • Effectively manage all Anti Social Behaviour, Arrears, Voids and Allocations cases in line with the prescribed policies and practices to build community cohesion
  • Meet all legislative and regulatory requirements for housing management activities, ensuring the provision of quality and safe homes for Sanctuary in Scotland’s customers and to minimise potential risks
  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with tenants and other key stakeholders to ensure the effective management of housing services, identify any shortfalls in service delivery and ensure these are acted upon
  • Ensure the effective management of complaints in line with policy, focussing on first contact resolution and the identification of future learning opportunities to achieve customer service excellence
  • Update and maintain all manual and computerised records in an accurate and timely manner to ensure compliance with the Group’s Record Management and Data Protection policies

Skills and experiences:

  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Scottish National 5
  • SVQ3 in relevant area or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience of delivery of high quality tenancy services
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Proven experience of good practice in resident involvement activities
  • Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions
  • Occasional travel may be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
