Housekeeping Porter
The College is seeking to appoint a reliable and flexible Housekeeping Porter to join our Housekeeping team. You will carry out a range of general housekeeping duties across the college in order to maintain the Trinity environment. Principal duties will include the collection of rubbish, sweeping and de-cobwebbing the courts, collecting confidential shredding sacks from offices, helping with departmental deliveries, assisting the seamstress in hanging curtains and collecting and delivering laundry and linen across the site. You will also be responsible for cleaning some communal areas including toilets and showers.
The post holder will need to be able to undertake physical and repetitive manual activities including climbing staircases on a daily basis. A large proportion of duties are undertaken outside, often in inclement weather.
You must be comfortable working as part of a team as well as able to work independently, organising your time without continuous supervision. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to be observant and deliver high standards of service. Good communication skills are essential as the successful candidate must be able to communicate with a wide variety of people as well as follow written and verbal instructions.
The post holder must have a clean and tidy appearance. A uniform (including PPE if necessary) will be provided and should be worn at all times whilst working.
Standard working hours are 39 per week worked Monday to Friday. Salary: £27,491 per annum plus additional benefits, which include:
