About the Role

Neasden and Stonebridge Parish is seeking a reliable and dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to support the smooth running of the Presbytery. This is a key role ensuring that the living and communal spaces remain clean, welcoming, and well-maintained for the Parish Priest and any visiting guests.

Key Responsibilities

As our Housekeeping Assistant, you will:

  • Carry out routine cleaning and tidying throughout the Presbytery
  • Provide fresh bed linen and towels when required
  • Launder and iron altar linen, priest’s albs, and clerical clothing
  • Keep all landings, corridors, staircases, and communal areas clean
  • Empty bins and ensure all areas are kept to a high standard
  • Support colleagues in other reasonable tasks as needed

Essential Skills & Qualities

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time‑management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and plan ahead
  • Methodical, reliable, and able to work under pressure
  • A positive, friendly, and proactive approach
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Good level of written and verbal English
  • Experience in hospitality (training can be provided)
  • A passion for Christian hospitality and identification with the Parish’s mission and values

Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
