Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and proud of delivering a high standard of work? Bede’s Trust is looking for dedicated individuals to join our housekeeping team at our beautiful Prep School site in Eastbourne.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in the daily life of the school, ensuring our students and staff enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
The RoleYou will be part of a supportive team responsible for providing a comprehensive cleaning service across all areas of the school. Your focus will be on quality, efficiency, and maintaining the first-class standards our community expects.
Key Responsibilities:-
Comprehensive Cleaning: Maintain various school areas to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Safety & Compliance: Apply a working knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) procedures when handling cleaning materials and chemicals.

Equipment Care: Ensure all cleaning machinery and tools are correctly maintained, stored, and reported to Housekeeping Supervisors if repairs are needed.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
We are looking for individuals who take initiative and enjoy being part of a busy, purposeful environment.
- Experience:Previous cleaning experience is a plus, but not essential - we value the right attitude most!
- Skills:Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.
- Knowledge:An understanding of COSHH is preferred, though training is available.
- Full Training:We will provide you with all the knowledge you need to succeed.
- Uniform:A professional uniform is provided for all Housekeeping staff.
- Environment:The opportunity to work in a stunning school by the sea as part of a friendly, dedicated team.
We will be offering permanent, part-time positions, consisting of 20 hours per week, 4.00pm - 8.00pm, Monday - Friday, 52 weeks per year.
There is a requirement to work 2 Saturdays of Open Morning, 4 Saturdays of Easter Holidays and the 6 Saturdays of Summer School.Offering an hourly rate salary of £12.71 per hour along with a range of staff benefits including:
