Job Description Job Title: Hospice Cleaner Accountable to: Facilities Support Coordinator Responsible to: CEO Hours: 10 hours per week (2 hours per day) Monday to Friday Purpose of role: To ensure a high level of cleanliness in all areas of the Hospice, mainly the Hub, clinic areas, offices and communal spaces. Duties • Working to an agreed cleaning schedule • Clean and dust, vacuum or mop all accessible areas including The Hub, Clinic areas, Offices and kitchen/toilet areas. • Empty all waste bins/ baskets. • Clean the toilet, sinks and work tops in kitchen area. • Replenish supplies of hand towels, soap and toilet rolls in the toilet; hand towels, soap and washing up liquid in kitchen areas. • Maintain an accurate record of cleaning using the daily cleaning schedule, highlighting any health and safety or maintenance issues. • Ensure that the Hospice is completely secured at the end of your shift. Conditions of Employment This post is subject to the following requirements: • Successful appointment will be subject to 2 satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS. • Successful completion of a trial period of one month.
