Overview

Our Help Point team has recently expanded and we have 2 new navigator roles within the team. Help Point is the first point of contact for referrals into West Sussex Mind and the newly re-commissioned Pathfinder service.

The role is central to supporting individuals who are seeking mental health information, guidance and support. You will act as the first point of contact and ensure that referrals are allocated to the appropriate team to offer support.

Our work

The successful candidate will work with a small team of navigators to ensure that telephone and email enquiries are responded to, referrals are recorded and allocated to teams and that appropriate signposting is given.

The role will also include liaising with partners and professionals who may have made referrals on the behalf of service users.

  • Passionate about improving mental health and wellbeing
  • A strong communicator with excellent listening and empathy skills
  • Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Organised and able to manage multiple enquiries effectively
  • Knowledgeable about community services or willing to learn quickly
  • Experienced in support, advice, navigation, or community roles
