We are looking for a Healthy Start Community Champion to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about promoting better health outcomes and reducing inequalities in local communities by working with a wide range of professionals and voluntary sector colleagues to raise awareness of the NHS Healthy Start scheme.

What you'll do:

  • Work with professional colleagues and community groups to promote and raise awareness about Healthy Start.
  • Plan and deliver training, workshops and presentations about Healthy Start, offer practical advice to help other professionals understand how Healthy Start works, who is eligible and how to encourage families to apply.
  • Gather feedback and help create resources and information to support the training and workshops you will be running.
  • Collaborate with local partners and professionals to ensure joined-up support through the Hampshire Healthy Start steering group.

What we're looking for someone with:

  • A passion for health promotion and improving nutrition for families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of professionals and volunteers within Hampshire.
  • Experience in running training, workshops and speaking to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and deliver sessions effectively.
  • Knowledge of Hampshire and services and groups that support families with babies and young children.

The salary range advertised is in line with our pay principles, for consistency and fairness while recognising the skills and experience applicants bring to the role.
