About the Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI)

The Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI) is a not-for-profit pre-university residential high school for 240 students aged 16 to 19 from more than 80 countries. The College offers a globally recognised two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme taught by 32 faculty members from around the world. Nestled in a 175-acre biodiversity reserve, MUWCI strives to create responsible, environmentally-conscious, service-oriented changemakers.

Teaching at MUWCI

Working at MUWCI means that you believe in the promise of a better world. If you want to educate the brightest, boldest, most caring and ambitious minds and hearts from around the globe and be part of a community of learners and supporters, please join us. Whether you teach, maintain the campus, or work in our offices, you are recognised for your talents and skills and become part of a movement to educate for a more peaceful and sustainable future. MUWCI values candidates drawn to the educational experience and mission of the United World Colleges.

We offer all employees a competitive compensation and benefits package, including opportunities for professional development. MUWCI welcomes qualified applications from individuals with a diverse range of backgrounds. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

UWC Mahindra College is seeking dedicated teachers who can teach at least two of the following IB Diploma Programme subjects:

  • English Language and Literature
  • English B
  • Biology (Chemistry combination preferred)
  • Mathematics

Responsibilities

All full-time faculty actively contribute to the broader life of the community, including our experiential learning and residential programmes. At the College, we enjoy and promote a culture of collaboration and engagement; everyone has a voice in how the community functions. Since most of our faculty positions are residential, close bonds are formed between students and faculty as teachers, mentors, advisors, and house parents. Faculty who live off-campus are equally engaged in the community: sharing meals in the dining hall, interacting with students, and participating in various on and off-campus activities.

Person specifications

MUWCI wishes to appoint individuals with a range of experiences and from diverse backgrounds. Almost all our faculty hold Master's degrees and often a doctorate and/or a teaching diploma. Combinations with other teaching subjects, aptitude in cultural, artistic, or athletic performance, skills and interest in developing student health and well-being, and experience of interdisciplinary, experiential, project-based, residential, international, or outdoor education will be valued.

How to apply

Interested applicants should submit the following to the Head of College, Mr. Gaurav Chopra, at vacancies@muwci.net:

  • Curriculum Vitae (not more than two pages)
  • Brief cover letter (not more than one page)
  • A 200-250 word statement on:

  • Details of two references (professional relationship, dates of employment, telephone and email contacts)
  • Couples who are both applying for a position should submit their application together.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Application Deadline: 20 February 2026
