Overview of Role
Duchy College, (formerly Harrogate Ladies College) comprises pre-school, preparatory, senior and sixth form and are a family of leading independent schools delivering a world class education in the heart of Harrogate for boys and girls aged 2-18 years. In our last ISI inspection in 2024 we met all standards in all areas and in 2017 we were awarded the highest possible rating of Excellent in All Areas from 2 to 18 years.
This post presents an opportunity for an experienced Science teacher to join a well-established independent school, with a record of success in the field of Science. We are looking for an energetic, passionate and talented practitioner to join the successful and popular Science department in College teaching pupils aged 11-18 years old.
We are seeking an exceptional teacher able to deliver Science at Key Stage 3, Biology for GCSE and A Level. The ability to teach GCSE Chemistry would be an advantage.
For GCSE, we offer EdExcel, iGCSE for Triple Science, and AQA Combined Science. At A Level, we follow the AQA syllabus.
A willingness to participate in the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the day/boarding School is essential and to take an active role as a Form Tutor.
