Head of Quality

Avalon Group is an award-winning social care charity dedicated to enabling people to live fulfilling lives, however they choose. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Quality to lead our quality and compliance agenda and drive exceptional outcomes across our services.

The Role

This is a pivotal leadership position, combining strategic oversight with operational impact. You will design and deliver our Quality and Compliance Strategy, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring our services consistently meet — and exceed — regulatory and internal standards.

Working closely with the Director of Operations and senior leadership, you will oversee quality assurance frameworks, drive improvement initiatives, and ensure learning from incidents and feedback informs meaningful change.

This is an opportunity to shape quality at an organisational level and influence positive change for the people we support.

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in quality within health or social care
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and quality management systems
  • A track record of translating strategy into measurable improvement
  • The credibility and confidence to influence at senior level
  • A collaborative, values-driven leadership style

Most importantly, you will share our values and commitment to person-centred care.

If you are a motivated and experienced Quality professional looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a values-led organisation, we would love to hear from you.

Benefits & Flexibility

We recognise the importance of wellbeing and work-life balance and are proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.

The base location for this role is negotiable; however, flexibility is required to meet business needs, including travel to our local offices. A full, valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
