Working in partnership withorganisations and governing bodies, we oversee the licensing of Award operators – includingschools, youth groups, employers and custodial institutions – in more than 130 countries andterritories.With our guidance, operators deliver the globally-recognised Award, which provides opportunitiesfor 14 to 24-year-olds of all backgrounds, locations, cultures and abilities, to develop their interests,skills and life aspirations. Our long-term aim is that every eligible young person aged 14 – 24 will have the opportunity toparticipate in the Award. We aim to increase the Award’s global access, reach and impact through: raising and granting funds to scale up operations and increase diversity, equity andinclusion campaigning to raise the profile of non-formal education and learning broadening ournetwork of volunteers, operators and digital systems ensuring participation isaffordable for all When it comes to creating empowered citizens who will go on to solve some of society’s biggestproblems, we must acknowledge that many of life’s greatest lessons happen beyond theclassroom. The Award gives young people the chance to discover exactly that. THE FOUNDATIONWhilst one of our primary roles is to license the Award around the world, the Foundation is so muchmore than a franchiser. We work with our Operators Partners to drive global change in a number ofkey strategic areas.OUR KEY AREAS OF WORK BEYOND LICENSING AND ACCREDITATION We provide grants to operators in our global Award family toscale up their operations and/or carry out projects that enableeven more young people to take part in the Award.FUNDING TRAININGGLOBAL PARTNERSHIPSRESEARCHADVOCACYWe provide licensees with advice and support, in the form ofongoing account management, training sessions, onlinetraining materials, and access to a global peer-to-peerdiscussion forum.We conduct ongoing research into the Award around the worldusing multiple initiatives, such as satisfaction surveys,outcomes evaluation and work with external experts onprojects, like our award-winning Global Social Value research.We partner with key organisations to increase global awarenessof the value of Non-Formal Education and Learning and toimprove the lives of young people.We actively work to build partnerships with organisations todeliver the Award around the world. Corporate Partnershipsform an integral part of this portfolio.The value and impact of the Award extends farbeyond the intrinsic benefits enjoyed by theyoung people. As Head of Philanthropy, you will be responsible for the strategicleadership and growth of the World Fellowship – our network of high value donors who arepassionate about enabling young people to discover their infinite potential. You’ll also work withthe Foundation’s most generous donors, ensuring their continued and deepening engagement withthe Award internationally‑value donors who are passionate about enabling young people todiscover their infinite potential.This role combines strategic development, senior relationship management, and internationalfundraising.
