Head of Operations & Visitor Experience – Seasonal

Painshill are seeking an exceptional Head of Operations and Visitor Experience to lead the front of house and volunteer teams through the 2026 season.

Painshill Park Trust is a charity which protects and restores a stunning award-winning 18th century landscape in the heart of Cobham, Surrey. Our objectives are to preserve and restore the landscape as closely as possible to its original concept and ensure its gifts are shared and accessible to all.

Job Summary
The Head of Operations and Visitor Experience is responsible for monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and promoting operational excellence across visitor-facing and support teams, including our volunteer team. You will play a critical role in designing and improving the overall visitor experience for the 2026 season and will be comfortable leading and implementing a goal-oriented strategy using dynamic leadership and thoughtful thinking. You will have firsthand experience with customers and will lead, adapt, inspire, and elevate the experience for everyone who visits.

Reporting to: Director of Development & Communications
Location: Painshill, Portsmouth Road, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 1JE
Days of work: Monday to Sunday on rostered basis, as directed by your line manager
Hours of work: Daytime with minimal evening cover, with a 30-minute un-paid break each day
