Are you an experienced and inspiring leader ready to make a meaningful difference? We are seeking a Head of Marketing, Communications & Fundraising to join our Executive Team at a pivotal time for our organisation. This is a rare opportunity to shape how we grow, engage and sustain our services, ensuring we can continue to provide compassionate, high-quality care to those who need us most.
In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious and integrated strategy that brings together income generation, marketing and communications. You will play a crucial role in strengthening our financial sustainability, growing voluntary income beyond £2 million annually, and building a strong and trusted public profile. At the heart of this role is the ability to tell our story with clarity, compassion and impact, ensuring our work resonates with supporters, partners and the wider community.
As a member of the Executive Team, you will contribute to organisational strategy, governance and decision-making. You will lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams across fundraising, marketing and communications, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability. Your leadership will ensure that all activity aligns with our organisational priorities and reflects our commitment to dignity, excellence and people-centred care.
You will lead the delivery of diverse and sustainable income streams, including individual giving, legacy fundraising, events, corporate partnerships and grants. With a strong focus on growth and innovation, you will identify new opportunities to expand supporter engagement and maximise impact, working with a growing team of fundraisers. Alongside this, you will oversee the development of compelling campaigns and donor journeys that connect people to our cause in meaningful ways, ensuring compliance with all relevant fundraising regulations. You will champion digital innovation, data-led decision making and supporter insight to enhance engagement, fundraising performance and audience reach.
You will also be responsible for shaping and protecting our brand, strengthening our reputation and ensuring consistent, high-quality communications across all channels. Acting as a senior ambassador where appropriate, you will build relationships with media, stakeholders and partners, helping to raise awareness of our services and the difference we make every day.
Building strong partnerships will be central to your success. You will develop and nurture relationships with corporates, community groups, healthcare organisations and key stakeholders, while championing a culture of philanthropy across the organisation. You will ensure that supporters, volunteers and partners feel valued and connected, fostering long-term engagement and advocacy.
Using data and insight, you will establish clear performance measures and drive continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility. You will manage budgets effectively, ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements, and support a culture where informed decision-making and accountability are embedded in day-to-day practice.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a strong track record of delivering income growth and leading successful fundraising and communications functions. You will bring significant senior leadership experience, along with the ability to inspire high-performing teams and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including Boards and senior executives. Your strengths will include excellent communication and storytelling skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to turn vision into action. Experience within the charity, healthcare or hospice sector would be advantageous, as would experience supporting organisational growth or transformation.
In return, you will join an organisation that is deeply committed to improving quality of life and providing comfort, dignity and support. Our values of excellence, people-centred care, integrity and collaboration underpin everything we do, and we are looking for someone who shares and champions these values.
If you are looking for a role where you can combine strategic leadership with purpose and impact, we would love to hear from you.
