1.  Job Summary

The Head of Income Generation & Engagement leads a range of fundraising and supporter engagement
activities designed to inspire more people to connect with the organisation and make a meaningful
difference to the lives of the people we support and their families.

Working closely with the Director of Fundraising, the  postholder  will oversee the development and
delivery of multiple income streams, including an expanding events and challenges programme, Direct
Mail appeals, community fundraising, and mid-value giving, along with database management. They
will  use  their  expertise  to  create  and  implement  initiatives  that  drive  income  growth  and  broaden
opportunities for supporters to engage with and champion our work.

  Support development and implementation of the fundraising strategy,
  Support budget planning and monitoring.


Lead  a  specific  mix  of  income  streams  encompassing  Mid-level  fundraising,  events  and
challenges, Young Kisharon Langdon, community fundraising and database management.
Identify opportunities for income growth.


  To deputise for the Director of Fundraising as and when required.

4.  Operational Tasks

  Ensure compliance with Fundraising Regulator standards
  To personally manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospect mid-level donors in order

to canvass, develop long term relationships and maximise income

  Ensure high-quality supporter journeys.
  Strengthen donor retention and mid-value giving pipelines.
  To arrange and accompany donors on service visits as and when required.


Line management of direct reports, including induction, supervision, appraisals and workload
allocations.

  Work closely with Marketing, Finance and Service teams.
  Oversee processes, systems and database accuracy (CRM management).

5.  Communications

  Work collaboratively with marketing to create supportive marketing and communication

campaigns.

  Act as an ambassador for the fundraising team within local and national forums and

networks.

  To work with the Director of Fundraising to deliver accurate and meaningful board reports.

6.  People Management

  To provide values-based leadership for employees and teams to perform at their best in

building and sustaining a high-performance culture.

  To act as a role model and ambassador for Kisharon Langdon values and leadership

behaviours.

  Manage direct reports through

  Contribute  to organisation-wide initiatives  and  align fundraising activity with organisational

priorities.

7.  Financial Management

  Support the Director of Fundraising with budget planning, monitoring and forecasting,

working collaboratively with the finance team to provide accurate and timely information.

  Assist in ensuring cost-effective and efficient delivery across fundraising activity by
monitoring spend within their areas of responsibility and highlighting risks or
opportunities for savings.

  Oversee event-related expenditure for their portfolio, ensuring resources are well planned,

monitored and used to maximise impact and return on investment.
