We are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Head of Human Resources (HR) who will support and advise the Bursar and Head Master, while providing an effective, efficient and excellent HR service to the School.

It is essential that you are experienced in managing a full range of HR matters, providing a HR service to the whole School, identifying HR priorities and recommending appropriate people management solutions to support business aims.

You will provide expert professional advice and support to managers and staff covering all aspects of Employment Law, applying best practice at all times reflecting the School’s desire to be an employer of choice.

Closing date: Monday 16 March 2026, 12 noon

Interviews are scheduled to take place the week commencing Monday 23 March 2026

Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and Wells Cathedral School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made. Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early.
