Location:Working from home with travel across Cheshire as required
Reports to:CEO
Hours of Work: 21.75 hrs per week
Contract type: 12-month fixed term
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Closing Date: 9am 23rd May 2026 Interview Date: TBC
Primary Purpose:
Seeking experienced fundraising leader and coach for Age UK Cheshire.
Rising poverty, digital exclusion and rural isolation are creating a perfect storm of loneliness for thousands of older people. Age UK Cheshire is a local, independent charity, dedicated to supporting older people across the whole of Cheshire.
If you embody our values of respectful, honest and person centred, and are passionate about supporting those who built the world we now live in, we’d love to work with you.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive culture, respectful of your expertise and experience, empowering you to test and learn, with a CEO whose career is grounded in fundraising.
Person Specification
We’re looking for someone to be hands on, role modelling excellence across fundraising disciplines, developing and delivering a fundraising plan, giving day to day direction and coaching to a small team.
Essential criteria
Experience in developing and delivering a fundraising strategy.
Experience in coaching people with limited fundraising experience.
Experience in developing fundraising plans and income growth from start-up position.
Experience in delivering substantial income growth.
We are flexible in our approach and ask for open communication and a commitment to making things work.
We’d ask for at least one day to be in person and would suggest this is our office in Northwich, but there may be other more convenient locations.
We believe learning will be accelerated by in person contact, however we also appreciate flexibility will be required and we would not suggest enforcing a fixed day or number of days. We are seeking someone who can join us asap.
Come and share your expertise, passion and exuberance for fundraising. Together we can make Cheshire a place where older people are not only seen, but respected and valued every day.
