Experience

•  Extensive experience in senior fundraising or a comparable field such as sales,

business development, or account/relationship management, with strong
transferable skills in income generation and stakeholder engagement. Charity
experience is welcome but not essential [E]

•  Proven leadership ability, with experience managing and motivating teams,
driving performance, and fostering a positive, high performing culture [E]
•  Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage corporate

partners, donors, and supporters [E]

•  Experience of setting and achieving financial targets [E]
•  Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple

projects and deadlines [E]

•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in writing

proposals, presentations, and reports [E]

•  Knowledge of fundraising best practice (or willingness to learn) [E]
•  Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for travel within the local area (and

occasionally further afield) [E]

Skills/Knowledge

•  Experience working in a charity fundraising role [D]
•  Knowledge of grant applications and trust fundraising [D]
•  Experience using CRM systems or donor databases [D]
•  Understanding of GDPR and compliance in fundraising [D]
