Head of English

We are seeking an inspiring and highly skilled Head of English to lead a vibrant, ambitious English curriculum from Reception to Year 8. The ideal candidate will be a creative and thoughtful teacher, passionate about nurturing a genuine love of reading, writing, and language in every child. You will bring deep subject expertise and an understanding of how pupils develop as readers and writers, enabling them to express themselves with confidence and imagination.

As Head of English, you will champion exceptional teaching and learning, ensuring excellent progression across the school and preparing pupils for senior school entrance assessments, Pre‑Tests, and Scholarship pathways. You will lead with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a commitment to high standards, shaping a curriculum that celebrates literature and empowers every pupil to thrive.
