Abou the Role
MAP is seeking an experienced humanitarian leader to lead the strategic design, delivery and scale-up of MAP’s humanitarian response in Gaza, ensuring high-quality programming in a complex and evolving conflict context. The role provides technical leadership, coordination and oversight across programme implementation, quality assurance and emergency decision-making, while representing MAP in humanitarian coordination mechanisms and strengthening partnerships. The job holder will support teams and partners through capacity building, technical guidance and effective coordination, in line with global humanitarian standards and organisational priorities.
About You
The ideal candidate should have a background in health, emergency response or a related field, with extensive experience in humanitarian programme management in complex and conflict-affected settings. The candidate should demonstrate strong technical expertise in needs assessments, programme design, proposal and budget development, and application of humanitarian standards such as CHS and Sphere. In addition, the role requires excellent leadership and people management skills, and sound decision-making under pressure. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills are essential, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
