Head of Delegation / Chef de Mission - 2027 FISU Summer World Games

Games Dates: 1-12 August 2027

Location: Chungcheong, Republic of Korea

The Opportunity

BUCS is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Chef de Mission for the GB Students delegation at the FISU Summer World University Games 2027 - one of the world's largest multi-sport events, comparable in scale to the Commonwealth Games. This is a two-cycle appointment, covering Chungcheong 2027 and the 2029 North Carolina Games (subject to review), giving the right candidate the opportunity to be part of GB Students' international programme at the highest level.

We're Looking For

• Leadership experience at a FISU or major multi-sport event
• Proven ability to manage staff and personnel under pressure
• Strong understanding of FISU, its mission and the Games structure
• High-performance sports environment expertise
• Experience creating event policy, documentation and procedures
• Deep knowledge of UK university sport and the HE sector.
