  • Woodgreen Pets Charity has been helping pets and their owners live happier, healthier lives for over 100 years. From rehoming and community support to education and advocacy, our work is powered by dedicated people and a data led approach.

    As our current Head of Data and Technology will soon be leaving we are looking for an interim replacement to start immediately on a 6-month fixed term contract to allow us to continue our plans to further our growth and transformation whilst this role is reviewed. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned data and technology professional to gain valuable new experiences with a business that is growing and full of ambition.

    As senior leader within Woodgreen, this role reports directly to the Director of Corporate Services. On a day-to-day basis, the Head of Data and Technology works closely with their senior leader peers across the business and leads four key groups within the Data and Technology domain: Technology and Security, Enterprise Systems, Data and Business Intelligence, and Data Protection.

    An experienced manager with the confidence to operate strategically whilst remaining close to operational delivery, our successful candidate will bring significant experience in the delivery and leadership of:

    • IT operations and support, networks, infrastructure and end-user computing;
    • database development, systems architecture, data management, transformation, and integration; and
    • provision of business intelligence, insight, analytics, and reporting.

    This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The role will operate in a hybrid working environment and although much of it can be done remotely the successful applicant will need to be able to attend our offices near Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire (PE29 2NH) for up to 1 - 2 days per week.

    The salary for this position will be up to £70,000 pro rata per annum depending on experience. In addition you will receive:

    • pro rata equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days after five years;
    • up to 8% employer pension contributions;
    • support towards healthcare costs (cashplan);
    • employee wellbeing package to include free access to Headspace;
    • life assurance (4x salary);
    • benefits hub – exclusive discounts on popular brands; and
    • 25% discount in our charity shops.

    Please note that you will need to have existing Right to Work in the UK to apply for this opportunity as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

    This role is subject to a range of pre-employment checks to include a basic DBS check.

If you would like to apply using a different format, please contact the Recruitment Team and we will do our best to put any reasonable adjustments in place.
