Are you a dynamic, commercially minded fitness professional ready to build a thriving community? As Bede’s opens its gym doors to the public, we are seeking three high-energy Group Exercise Instructors from June 2026 to launch and grow our new studio timetable (including yoga, spin, aerobics, martial arts, and aqua). You will deliver top-tier workouts, maximize studio capacity, and drive commercial success while championing the "Team Bede's" ethos.
Key Responsibilities- Class Delivery & Growth:Deliver industry-leading classes that drive attendance and establish Bede's as a premier local fitness destination.
- Commercial Operations:Manage basic studio expenditure, test new class formats for ROI, and utilise classes to generate leads for wider Bede’s offerings (like gym memberships or Holiday Clubs).
- Community Building:Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere, generate positive word-of-mouth, and help market our classes to the public.
- Health & Safety:Ensure the studio and equipment are safe and compliant, acting as the lead point of contact for safeguarding during public classes.
You are an entrepreneurial leader who balances exceptional coaching with the drive to fill a studio. You bring:
- Fitness & Commercial Drive:Extensive experience delivering adaptable group workouts, with a proactive approach to retaining members and spotting new fitness trends.
- Leadership & Organisation:A motivational presence on the gym floor, coupled with the ability to smoothly manage booking software, timetables, and equipment.
- Commitment to Excellence:A meticulous approach to health, safety, and safeguarding compliance on a shared school/public site.
- Desirable:Group Exercise qualification, plus specific certifications in your modalities (e.g., Yoga, Spin, Aqua). A proven track record of growing class participation.
- Safeguarding:All posts are subject to a satisfactory DBS certificate, references, and medical checks.
- Location:Based at Bede’s Trust, with the flexibility to work across various sites throughout Sussex.
Offering an attractive hourly rate of £30 - £40 per hour
