Graphic Designer (middleweight)
Can you pixelate a penguin? Lay out a lion? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced graphic designer to work in our Creative Studio at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) based at London Zoo.
We’re looking for a great middleweight designer to work on a range of design projects from marketing collateral to zoo exhibits and everything in between. You’ll be a natural problem-solver, highly creative, love sharing and exploring ideas and have an imaginative and curious mind. You’ll join a small but mighty creative team that believes in the power of storytelling to connect audiences, and you’ll help to deliver innovative design that delivers exactly that.
You’ll manage design projects from concept to installation, combining strong conceptual thinking with exceptional attention to detail. Beyond the zoos, you’ll support the wider organisation’s design needs, collaborating with multiple departments to bring conservation stories to life. You will gain hands-on training with our in-house large format printer, giving you the skills to deliver high-quality, on-demand signage under tight timelines.
You’ll need a graphic design degree or equivalent, to be a whizz with creative cloud applications, the confidence to drive projects forward and the ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising accuracy or attention to detail. You’ll have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a busy office environment. This hybrid role requires attendance in the office at London at least 3 days per week.
The selection process will include completion of a set task and up to two in-person interviews.
