GRADUATE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS
Hankinson Duckett Associates (HDA) is seeking landscape architecture graduates to join our friendly team.
HDA was established over 25 years ago and is a successful employee-owned, multidisciplinary practice, specialising in landscape planning and design, masterplanning, ecology and arboriculture. You would be joining HDA’s friendly, professional and ambitious team of landscape architects, working across a range of projects including landscape assessment, masterplanning, management plans, urban design, design and implementation, local and strategic planning, habitat restoration and habitat creation.
Joining HDA gives you the opportunity to engage with the full scope of landscape architecture and be involved in multiple projects at different stages, ensuring that there is always something new to learn. This will include site work, landscape design, report writing and 3D modelling. If you want to expand your knowledge and experience of the wider industry even further you can also get involved in HDA’s extensive ecology and arboriculture work, including surveys, assessment, restoration, Biodiversity Net Gain and management plans.
Benefits of working at HDA include:
– Competitive salary and benefits package, including annual bonuses (with tax breaks enjoyed on EOT bonuses) and paid overtime.
– Pathway to Chartership support including mentoring and payment of LI fees and training sessions.
– Opportunities to gain experience across a broad range of Landscape Design, Landscape Planning, Masterplanning and Design projects.
– HDA is an Employee Ownership Trust and is therefore run for the benefit of our employees.
– Hybrid office/home working.
– HDA is based at our grade II listed Wallingford office in South Oxfordshire, next to the River Thames and in the grounds of Howbery Park with its on-site café/restaurant and other facilities, and surrounded by picturesque Oxfordshire towns and villages, yet within easy reach of the city of Oxford to the north, and Reading to the south, by car and public transport.
The successful applicants should have proven written and graphic skills, and knowledge of Adobe, AutoCAD and GIS (QGIS in particular) software. Graduates should have a post graduate qualification in a landscape related subject and be aiming towards gaining Landscape Institute chartership. We are primarily looking for candidates with both good written and graphics skills and enjoy working on strategic level projects. A full driving license would be advantageous.
