Currently, nearly one million people in the UK are living with dementia: a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating for the whole family. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime - either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both - and too often, people are left to cope alone with the relentless, ever-changing challenges. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Governance Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support to the Governance, Compliance and Risk team. This part-time role will support the smooth running of governance and compliance processes, including coordinating meetings, preparing and circulating documents and minutes, maintaining accurate records and registers, and supporting policy reviews and compliance tracking.

Acting as a first point of contact for routine governance queries, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines are monitored and information is well organised.

To be successful, you will have solid experience in an administrative role and be confident in all aspects of Microsoft 365. You will be highly organised with strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail. You should be able to work under your own initiative as well as working collaboratively, while maintaining high levels of confidentiality. Experience in a charity or governance environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

This role is part-time, working 20 hours a week, we are flexible as to how these hours are worked but would expect there to be a presence on a minimum of three days a week. We would consider candidates wanting to work full days or those that would prefer to work less hours over more days.
