GL11 Counselling Service Supervisor

GL11 is a busy Community Hub based in Cam, Gloucestershire, providing a wide range of community activities including wellbeing, volunteering, employment and family services to support a thriving local community.

We are seeking a trained clinical supervisor to offer group supervision to employed qualified counsellors and counselling volunteers (both qualified and Level 4/5 counselling trainees).

GL11 Counselling Service is an innovative partnership between GL11 community Hub and local GP surgeries. It provides tailored short-term (6 session) counselling and health coaching support in a community setting for patient needs as part of an individuals’ ongoing journey to develop resilience and build social networks.

The role is for 10 hours/month. This consists of 3 supervision sessions, each lasting 1.5hrs, twice a month, plus administration time.

The role encompasses:

• Leading and managing group supervision,

• Completing supervision records,

• Working closely with the GL11 Counselling Service Clinical Team Leaders to ensure the ethical and safe running of the service,

• To provide clinical guidance and mentoring to the counselling team.
