We have an opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join our Property Services department based in Rochford, to provide an effective Gas Operations service that meets contract and customer expectations, including gas installation, servicing and repairs.
Property Services is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal clients and additionally a small number of external clients. It is also responsible for operational Health and Safety of the service, including fire safety and
delivering effective group wide asset management and reinvestment programmes.
The role of Gas Engineer will include:
- Carrying out fault fixing, maintenance, installation duties and commissioning of gas central heating systems
- Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensuring accurate daily work records are completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
- Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating system
- Working knowledge of building regulations, particularly Part L Energy Efficiency
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
