About the team

This role sits within the Fundraising Operations team, whose purpose is to enable the wider Fundraising directorate to achieve its income targets through effective systems, processes, and insight.

The team is part of the Fundraising directorate, which works with mission-aligned funders to generate voluntary income in support of Teach First’s work. By bringing together income-generating teams across Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations, and Philanthropy, alongside a dedicated Operations function, the directorate ensures that fundraising activity is compliant, data-driven, and delivers sustainable impact.

About the role

The Fundraising Operations Coordinator is critical to ensuring we deliver operational excellence across our fundraising activities. This will include donor stewardship communications cross-departmental administrative support and efficient financial processing.

In this role you will:

• Provide effective administrative support to the whole Fundraising department including preparing meeting agendas and taking and sharing meeting notes.

Undertake financial processing and reconciliation of donations and you will keep Salesforce (our Customer Relationship Management database) up to date so we can see how much money we have raised

• Support continuous improvement of Fundraising Operations processes and guidance

Co-ordinate cross-departmental internal communications and be responsible for checking and cascading queries which come into the team via the shared inboxes.

• Champion Salesforce best practice

• Support the team with Due Diligence checks as required

• Support income generation through prospect identification and qualification

Undertake daily identification of income from the bank statement and third-party platforms, updating donor records on Salesforce and Partnership Managers accordingly

• Raise invoices and Purchase Orders for the Department

• Support teams to ensure Salesforce is accurate and monthly income reconciliation updates are made promptly

• Preparation of information for Gift Aid Claims (minimum 2 per year)

Wider Fundraising Department including Head of Trust and Foundations and Philanthropy and Head of Corporate

• Fundraising Finance Business Partner

About you

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience.

Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy demonstrated through consistently producing accurate work, and complete and reliable records

Strong administrative and organisational skills, with experience of documenting and managing task on time

Proficient with Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) with experience of producing clear documentation

• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, adapting style and tone to suit different audiences and purposes.

Strong time management skills and capability of managing a busy workload and competing priorities

• Experience using Salesforce, or other CRM systems
