FOOD BANK AID Job Title: Fundraising Officer Reporting to: CEO Salary: £35,000, Full Time Location: Food Bank Aid, 2b Chaplin Square, Great North Leisure Park, N12 0GL Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus 8 bank/public holidays The Food Bank Aid Story: Food Bank Aid began life in April 2020 (during the Covid-19 pandemic) when our founder and chair, Naomi Russell, started a collection for her local food banks. Today, Food Bank Aid distributes food, toiletries, and household goods to 33 food banks across north London and Hertfordshire, from Watford to Tottenham and everywhere in-between. The food banks we support in turn serve an estimated 20,000 people every week. We have provided food banks with over £7.5 million of goods since we opened. Our goal is to continue expanding Food Bank Aid’s operations to support more food banks across London and the surrounding areas. What makes Food Bank Aid different: • We provide essential ingredients to encourage home cooking as well as other essential household items. • We communicate weekly with our food banks, providing only what they need. This way, nothing is wasted. • We are a volunteer-led organisation utilising our local community to pack, distribute and deliver to the food banks. Currently, 400 volunteers support the work of Food Bank Aid. • We link our food bank managers to create a network where they can share expertise. This network is also used to redistribute excess items, offload fresh goods, and share best practices. Role Overview: The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for supporting our different Fundraising audiences across Individual Giving, Corporate Partnerships and Major Donors, providing excellent supporter care, expert management of Food Bank Aid’s CRM system, as well as providing more general Fundraising Draft: 25/01/2026 support. Food Bank Aid is five years old and is constantly developing its donor engagement methods and communications, so our Team needs to be flexible in their approach to work and as such, the list of responsibilities below may not be exhaustive. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Maintaining Food Bank Aid’s CRM and database: Donorfy 2. Gathering data and generating income reporting for updates and analysis 3. Responding to fundraising enquiries and assisting with Regular Giving communications 4. Working with the Development & Engagement Officer to create and implement impactful donor journeys 5. Overseeing donation and payment platforms which support our income generation: JustGiving, GoCardless, Donr, Stewardship, Benevity, Give As You Live and ensure weekly reconciliation of bank uploads with Finance team systems and Donorfy 6. Overseeing Gift Aid claims and records 7. Assist Fundraising and Marketing colleagues with Corporate partnership activities and Individual Giving communications. 8. Maintaining the confidentiality of Food Bank Aid’s data and upholding GDPR processes. Experience & Skills: • Proven experience in a fundraising operations and donor support role (minimum 2 years). • Proficient in using fundraising CRM systems. • Familiarity with GDPR and email marketing regulations. • Excellent data analysis and management skills • Ability to understand systems quickly and improve processes. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. • Enthusiastic with a strong can-do attitude. • Experience of working in a small charity is desirable.
