The Role
As a Fundraising Officer, you will support the delivery of Saba Relief’s fundraising
strategy by assisting with campaigns, events, and donor engagement activities. You
will help build strong relationships with communities, supporters, and partners to
grow income and support for our life-changing programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events.
- Assist in building relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community supporters.
- Contribute to digital and community fundraising initiatives to diversify income streams.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions using CRM systems.
- Support the Fundraising Manager in preparing reports, monitoring income, and tracking campaign performance.
- Recruit and help manage volunteers and support team coordination during fundraising activities.
- Ensure compliance with Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator standards.
- Represent Saba Relief positively at events, community visits, and engagement activities.
About You
You are an enthusiastic and committed fundraiser with strong communication and organisational skills, ready to contribute to Saba Relief’s mission. You are proactive, adaptable, and motivated to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or community outreach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Awareness of charity fundraising regulations and governance.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable:
- Experience in faith-based or international development charities.
- Knowledge of Yemen or Middle Eastern humanitarian contexts.
- Experience with CRM systems for donor management.
