Location: Hybrid / Remote with occasional UK travel
Hours: 2 days per week (16 hours)
Contract: To be confirmed
Reports to: Head of Fundraising
Salary: £30,000 pro rata 2 days per week

About Music Support

Music Support is a charity dedicated to supporting anyone in the music industry affected by mental health issues and addiction. We provide confidential help, peer support, and professional services to ensure people across the industry can access the care they need.

Role Purpose

The Fundraising Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the delivery and growth of Music Support’s fundraising activity. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will research, write, and manage funding proposals and bids, actively steward funder relationships, and provide essential coordination support across fundraising programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Income Generation

  • Research, write, and submit high quality funding proposals, grant applications, and bids
  • Maintain a pipeline of funding opportunities and track deadlines
  • Support development of cases for support and impact reporting

Relationship Management

  • Actively manage relationships with existing funders and partners
  • Support development of new funder and corporate relationships
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to funders

Fundraising Support & Coordination

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Head of Fundraising
  • Maintain accurate CRM and fundraising records
  • Assist with meetings, presentations, and donor communications

Events

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination and delivery of fundraising events, including launches, receptions, artist partnerships, concerts, and donor cultivation activities
  • Assist with event logistics such as venue booking, supplier liaison, scheduling, guest lists, invitations, and RSVPs
  • Support on-the-day event delivery and coordination with internal teams, artists, partners, and external suppliers
  • Assist with budget tracking, invoicing, and reconciliation of event costs
  • Support post-event follow-up, including thank-you communications, reporting, evaluation, and maintaining accurate CRM records

  Monitoring & Administration

  • Track fundraising income and reporting requirements
  • Support evaluation and impact reporting
  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience writing successful funding proposals or bids
  • Experience working in a fundraising, development or income-generation role
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience supporting fundraising activity
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Confidence managing professional relationships

Desirable

  • Experience with trusts, foundations, or corporate fundraising
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Interest in music, arts, or mental health sectors
