The Hub Café in Appleby has become a very popular spot to visit for locals and visitors to the area. It has a friendly, local vibe and serves fresh, homemade food. The dishes are well-cooked and creatively presented. The cafe seeks out the best ingredients. They strive to use local, seasonal foods when possible.
The Appleby Hub’s Cafe is getting busier, so we need more team members. We are looking to recruit Front of House and Cook’s to join our team to work every other Saturday and work flexibly as and when required.
We need:
A friendly, efficient person with great interpersonal skills and/or experience in either front-of-house or a competent cook is ideal, but not necessary as full training will be to the right candidate.
You will work with the public and other staff. You’ll also work with adults who have learning disabilities. Good communication is key. We expect kindness and great customer service always.
What will your role include?
Front of house staff;
- Meet and greet customers and offer cafe menus
- Answer questions about menu offerings
- Processing food and drink orders
- Use the Barista machine
- Making sure orders are correct, the food comes out in good time, and customers have everything they need.
- Setting and clearing tables
- Preparing bills and processing payments
We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook/Baker who shares our vision for local, seasonal & wholefoods and
passion for making quality food for the local community and to support our kitchen team.
The successful candidate must be willing to work some Saturdays every month.
