Humans Move is a disabled-led dance theatre CiC entering an ambitious new chapter. To support our sustainability and provide vital leadership oversight, we are seeking two dedicated freelance professionals: a Creative Producer / Strategy & Operations Lead and a Fundraiser.

These roles are designed to bridge the gap between artistic vision and operational excellence. You will work closely with our Directors to bring our business plan to life, secure our financial future, and ensure Humans Move continues to lead with impactful inclusive dance theatre projects embracing our cultural connections between Wales and Ethiopia.Note: Applications from individuals interested in a combined role are welcome if their expertise spans both areas.

Role 1: Creative Producer / Strategy & Operations Lead

This role provides the strategic expertise needed to ensure our growth. You will translate our vision into a clear, actionable roadmap.

• Fee:£10,500 (£300 per day)
• Term:9 months (May 2026 – Jan 2027)
• Commitment:35 days total (approx. 3.5 days/month)

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Roadmap:Develop a clear organisational handbook and long-term operational plan.
• Business Development:Identify and broker new opportunities for commissions, collaborations, and high-level partnerships.
• Management:Oversee key funding relationships and represent the company in professional networks.
• Operational Oversight:Ensure cohesion across the organisation, aligning artistic goals with business sustainability.

Role 2: Fundraiser

We are looking for a practical strategist who can turn a 5-year vision into a funded reality. This role is about embedding a culture of resilience through diverse income streams.

• Fee:£7,500 (£250 per day)
• Term:9 months (May 2026 – Jan 2027)
• Commitment:30 days total (approx. 3 days/month)

Key Responsibilities:

• Income Generation:Write and manage high-quality grant applications and bids.
• Financial Strategy:Strengthen the existing 3–5 year business plan and create robust income/expenditure forecasts.
• Pipeline Management:Establish a project pipeline with clear budgets and timelines.
• Risk & Resilience:Create a risk management framework and target a core cost income.

The Details

Location: Remote-first, but must be able to travel to Cardiff for monthly in-person team meetings.

Deadline: 14th April 2026. 

Interviews: Thursday, 23rd April 2026 (Online or in-person at Cardiff Bay).
