FREELANCE FACILITATOR – JOB DESCRIPTION & PERSON SPECIFICATION
ROLE SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
The Outreach & Prevention Directorate working to educate about and prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence in the Jewish community. Our work in schools, youth organisations and on university campuses aims to open up conversations around healthy relationships, raise awareness about relationship abuse, and empower young people to promote a consent culture within their own peer groups.
Due to increasing demand, we are looking for dynamic and passionate freelance facilitators to support our education work and deliver engaging, interactive sessions in schools, youth organisations and on university campuses. We are looking for facilitators who are committed to JWA’s mission of ending violence against women and girls (VAWG) and creating safer spaces across the Jewish community.
All facilitators will receive ongoing training and support to develop their understanding of how to teach about VAWG and healthy relationships.

SALARY £40 per hour
LOCATION Mainly in the London or Manchester area, some additional travel may be needed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate high quality prevention education sessions that enable young people to navigate key topics of Consent, Healthy Relationships, Sexual Violence & Relationship Abuse
Inspire young people to build a consent culture within their school communities and youth organisations
Facilitate young people’s conversations around challenging, sensitive topics such as domestic abuse and sexual violence
Create inclusive learning environments for young people with a good working knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Represent JWA in a range of educational settings
• Support the work of the Outreach & Prevention team by promoting our programmes and message across the Jewish community
• Attend regular training and updates with the JWA team, both internally and externally as needed.
