Location: Venue Cymru, Llandudno (hybrid working considered) Contract: Freelance / short-term contract Fee:  £1,000 for 20 half days, April 2026 to January 2027

What is take pART?

take pART is Venue Cymru’s much-loved creative takeover — two buzzing days packed with hands-on activities, artists, organisations and thousands of young people and their adults getting stuck in. It’s lively, fast-moving and hugely rewarding.

The role

We’re looking for a confident, friendly and super-organised Freelance Administrator to help pull the programme together behind the scenes. You’ll be the person who keeps everything (and everyone) moving — from first conversations with artists right through to making sure they’ve got everything they need in the lead up to the weekend.

If you like juggling details, talking to people and seeing a big creative event come together, this one’s for you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Chatting with artists and organisations by phone, email and Teams
  • Reaching out to new activity providers and confidently starting conversations
  • Managing each activity booking from start to finish:
  • First contact
  • Confirming details
  • Issuing contracts
  • Sharing information about what to expect on the day
  • Making sure all the practical info is in place for delivery
  • Creating clear, timed schedules so everyone knows what’s happening, where and when
  • Working closely with the Venue Cymru Marketing team to make sure activities are properly listed on the take pARTwebsite
  • Keeping the take pARTteam up to date on how the programme is shaping up
  • Checking in with the team for ideas, advice and sense-checks as needed

You’ll be great for this if you:

  • Are naturally organised and love a good checklist
  • Feel confident picking up the phone and talking to new people
  • Can keep track of lots of moving parts without losing the plot
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Are happy working independently while staying connected to a team

Experience of arts, events or cultural projects, and experience of take pART is a bonus — but not essential if you’ve got the right skills and attitude.

Why join take pART?

Because it’s joyful, creative and makes a real difference. You’ll be helping to deliver an event that opens doors, sparks curiosity and welcomes thousands of people into Venue Cymru to try something new.

The role is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and the Conwy Arts Trust, helping us bring creativity, opportunity and fun to thousands of participants.
