Football Women's Development Squad Coach

Oxford
Full-time
29th September 2026
Listed today

Description

Women’s development squad/3s coach - voluntary position with any travel to away games to be reimbursed at the club's standard rate

Training: Mondays 5-6pm at Greyfriars Catholic School (Cricket Rd, OX4 3DR), Sundays 10-12 at University Parks

Matches: Occasional friendlies (approx. 2 a term), usually in place of Sunday training

Description: Our development squad is open to all abilities and has become a welcoming but competitive space - we have many players who are new to football but also have players who have played before and eventually move up into the 2nd team, so the standard is quite varied.

The role would include:

• Running all training sessions - they are relaxed and mainly centred around football-based games, always ending with a practice match.

• Attending and coaching friendlies • Helping the devs captain pick the varsity squad for the varsity match against Cambridge 3s (usually based on attendance and ability)

• Attending and coaching the varsity match (will require availability for a full Sunday at the end of February/start of March as it is in Cambridge this year) - the last two years have been very narrow losses to Cambridge's 3s so we want to build on those this year and finally get a win!

This would be a very good opportunity for people (especially students) looking to improve their coaching skills or have their first coaching role, and they would be closely supported by the captain and OUAFC committee.
