Food Growing Lead
Wolves Lane Centre is recruiting a Lead Food Grower to take responsibility for food production within a community-led, agroecological growing space. This role combines hands-on growing with coordination, planning and leadership. The Lead Food Grower will work closely with growers, trainees, volunteers and partners to ensure food production at Wolves Lane is productive, well-organised and aligned with the site’s wider social and community mission.
Food growing at Wolves Lane is not just about yield. It is about who grows the food, how it is grown, and who it is grown for. The Lead Food Grower plays a key role in holding this balance; supporting high standards of agroecological practice while working within a site that prioritises learning, access and community ownership of land. Wolves Lane Centre works closely with Black, Brown and minoritised communities and partners, and sees food growing as a tool for cultural expression, education, economic opportunity and collective care. The Lead Food Grower will be an important contributor to this vision, working collaboratively across the site rather than in isolation.
