Edinburgh University Students' Association is looking to recruit Food & Beverage Team Leaders to join our Trading Operations team

As a Food and Beverage Team Leader at Kings Buildings you will be working between our various outlets; Magnet Café in James Clerk Maxwell Buildings, and in Kings Buildings House Tempo Café and Mayfield Hot Food. We are a Monday - Friday daytime operation with the cafés open 8.30am - 4pm, Mayfield Hot Food lunch times 11.30am - 2.30pm.

As a Team Leader you will be required to run shifts within the food operations, maintaining food safety and service standards, open and close outlets and Kings Buildings House. Team Leader shifts typically run 7.30am - 1pm, 1pm - 6pm (or a full day) and 11am - 3pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours for University Open Days and events.

Salary: £13.95 per hour, plus a generous benefits package:

Hours: Up to 15 hours per week (no guaranteed hours)

Pattern: Various (Most shift patterns will be scheduled between Monday – Friday, 7.30am - 6pm)

Contract: Zero Hours

The Role:

To lead the F&B team, ensuring the smooth front of house operation of all F&B services on our premises and maintain the highest standard of guest experience and food/beverage quality at all times. Ensuring consistently excellent levels of service and quality of product.

The post holder will be based at King’s Buildings House but may be required to work in any of the Students’ Association’s outlets and will have an operational understanding of food service in all areas.

This position requires flexibility in terms of hours worked/shift patterns with some evening and weekend working required. Most shift patterns will be scheduled between Monday – Friday, 7.30am - 6pm.

The Person:

An enthusiastic, friendly and competent individual with demonstrable experience of leading successful Food and Beverage teams, has high expectations of themselves and others, with a passion for excellent service and the ability to successfully maintain and deliver that service at a consistently high standard.

Must be capable of working alone and as part of a team, who has an eye for details and enacting high standards of service delivery are key to this role.
