Make an impact where it matters
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and lead critical pieces of work relating to the major accounting standard changes around the implementation of FRS102/IFRS16 right‑of‑use asset accounting and FRS102/IFRS15 changes to the recognition of contract income.
This is a hands‑on, delivery-focused role that will shape how we account for leases and income and update the financial controls relating to these areas. If you're a qualified accountant who enjoys owning complex accounting projects from end to end, improving processes, and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the implementation of FRS102/IFRS16 right‑of‑use asset accounting, working on all aspects of the project, including data preparation
- Lead improvements to contract income recognition (FRS102/IFRS15) in collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation
- Drive process improvement and financial control to allow the organisation to successfully process and account for these changes and prepare accurate management and statutory accounts, managing the transition to the new processes.
- Document and train on the new processes across the financial accounts team and the wider organisation as required.
Further details of the role are in the job description.
