Job Overview

Seenaryo is seeking a Finance & Procurement Offi cer to join our team in Lebanon. The Finance & Procurement Offi cer will process Seenaryo’s procurement, payment, bookkeeping, accounting and reporting needs in the country. They will work closely with the Head of Finance & Procurement, Lebanon Project & Operations team, and liaise with Seenaryo’s network of freelancers and suppliers. The role also involves regular collaboration with Seenaryo’s teams in Jordan and the UK.

Based in Seenaryo’s offi ce in Beirut, the position includes occasional visits to project sites across Lebanon and regular communication with teams in the UK and Jordan via Zoom. As a small organisation, Seenaryo values team members who are collaborative, proactive and willing to take ownership across a range of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will therefore be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, supporting colleagues across teams and contributing wherever needed to ensure the smooth running of programmes and operations, whilst balancing fi nancial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

● Process day-to-day fi nancial operations including payments, bookkeeping and reconciliations.

● Prepare accurate fi nancial records and support monthly reporting and budget tracking.

● Process payroll, ensure tax and social security compliance, and support annual audit processes.

● Anticipate and mitigate fi nancial risks ensuring Lebanon operations are run in a compliant and cost-effi cient manner.

Procurement & Contracting

● Implement procurement processes and ensure compliance with Seenaryo’s fi nancial and procurement procedures.

● Prepare contracts and payments for freelancers, consultants and suppliers.

Grant & Budget Support

Support on delivering fi nancial reports for donor-funded projects.

● Work with programme teams to track expenditure and ensure compliance with donor requirements.

Systems & Team Support

● Provide support to the Lebanon team regarding fi nancial and procurement.

Ensure internal systems are implemented eff ectively and suggest improvements.

Essential qualifi cations & experience:

● A bachelors in accounting, fi nance, business administration or a related fi eld, or equivalent professional experience.

● At least 2 years’ experience in fi nance, accounting, fi nancial administration or operations (ideally within an NGO, arts or education organisation).

● Experience managing fi nancial processes such as payments, bookkeeping, reconciliations and fi nancial record keeping.

Experience supporting donor-funded projects and fi nancial reporting.

● Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

● High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with fi nancial records and documentation.

● Ability to work independently, take initiative and problem-solve within a small, collaborative team.

● Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work eff ectively with colleagues, freelancers and external suppliers.

● Fluency in Arabic and English, with strong written communication skills in both languages.

● Experience using Microsoft Offi ce and Google Workspace (particularly Excel/Sheets), as well as shared fi le systems such as Google Drive.

● Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar fi nancial management systems.

Preferred experience:

● Experience supporting procurement processes, including collecting quotations, managing suppliers and maintaining procurement documentation.

Driver’s licence and access to a personal car.
