Location: CXK Ashford Office (Hybrid working available)
Salary:£44,411 - £50,017 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Part-time 25-30 hours per week (can be worked over 4-5 days)

The Role
CXK is an award-winning charity, and we are seeking an experienced, proactive and hands-on Finance Manager to join our organisation at an important time. This role offers the opportunity to lead the day-to-day delivery of the finance function while contributing clear financial insight that supports effective decision-making and long-term sustainability.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Resources, you will be a visible and trusted finance partner across CXK, working closely with colleagues and leading a small finance team. You will enjoy being close to the detail, taking ownership of core finance processes whilst ensuring high standards of accuracy, control and reporting.
Combining a practical, hands-on approach with the ability to provide clear and timely financial insight, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations, produce high-quality financial reporting, and support informed decision-making that enables CXK to maximise its impact.

Minimum Criteria
As Finance Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient and effective operations whilst supporting the performance and development of the team
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts and oversee cashflow reporting to support informed decision-making
- Support year-end accounts, audit processes and statutory reporting
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance and good governance
- Work closely with teams across the charity to help them understand and manage their budgets
- Contribute to financial modelling and the development of new and existing services
- Act as a key finance contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, banks and advisors
Core Competencies
- Hold a full formal accounting qualification (eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or otherwise qualified through substantial experience in a similar finance role.
- Experience of staff management, including supporting and coaching staff to improve individual performance and promote CPD.
- The ability to identify a problem, present a solution and to implement the outcome.
- An excellent working knowledge and usage of ICT systems, including financial systems
- Advanced excel skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines under pressure with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator with inter-personal skills with a calm, positive and can-do attitude.
