Our wholly owned social enterprise, Slave-Free Alliance, provides services to global companies and public bodies seeking to protect their operations and supply chains against the risks of modern slavery and labour exploitation. We have active programmes in the UK, USA, Ethiopia and Uganda, reaching approximately 200,000 adults and children a year.

Position
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a 6 month fixed-term contract to provide essential cover during a period of extended leave. This role is critical in ensuring continuity across our finance operations, with a strong focus on grant management, management reporting, and statutory accounting across our global group of entities (UK, US, and Africa).

Requirements
- Maintain the granular level data on each grant, monitoring spending against restricted funds and communicating available spending/completion of spending.
- Recording monthly restricted grant spending against budgets, and reporting variances.
- Attending monthly meetings to present grant spending updates.
- Allocating costs to grants and posting journals in the finance system
- Preparing monthly grant drawdown documents and submitting drawdown requests.
- Support the income generating teams with Donor Financial Reports, ensuring data is provided in adequate time and in the required format, as per each bid requirement
- Reconciling donor income in accounting records to donor portals
- Assist with submission of grant records for annual statutory audits
- Understand and uphold the standards outlined in the Hope for Justice Safeguarding policies, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with our work and reporting concerns if they do arise.

Role Details
Job type: part time - 30 hours per week, 6 month fixed term contract ending October 1st, 2026
Salary: Up to £40,000 based on experience
